Women’s Empowerment Breakfast
September 21 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am
The Women’s Empowerment Breakfast is a one-hour breakfast program that provides an unforgettable and informative presentation of the extraordinary work of Vista Maria to address the needs of girls aged 16 – 24 who are either homeless, have aged out of the foster care system, or have yet to be adopted with no family support.
A complimentary breakfast buffet will be available at 7:30 a.m. The program will begin at 8:00 a.m. and will end by 9:00 a.m. The event is fully underwritten by Mrs. Elizabeth Schmidt, Vista Maria Board Advisor and CEO of Atlas Tool, Inc. Mrs. Schmidt, a staunch advocate for women’s empowerment, has generously offered a dollar for dollar matching gift for all donations made during this event up to $25,000.00.
The Shepard Hall Transitional Living Program (SHTLP) will be the focus of this year’s Empowerment Breakfast. It provides an opportunity to showcase the remarkable results of our nationally recognized program to provide affordable housing along with numerous workshops and classes to develop the much-needed skills and experience for sustainable independent living.
