Tawana Rogers-Reece
Vice President of Community Programs
With more than 26 years of experience in child welfare and juvenile justice, Tawana has dedicated her career to improving outcomes for youth and families. She began her journey in foster care and protective services before focusing the last 18 years on juvenile justice. After joining InSight Youth and Family Connections (formerly StarrVista) in 2006, she held multiple leadership roles, including supervisor, probation case manager, senior case manager, utilization manager, assistant director, and executive director. These experiences have provided her with a comprehensive perspective on the needs of youth, families, and staff, helping to inform her leadership.
Tawana holds both a bachelor’s in psychology and a master’s in social work from Wayne State University. She firmly believes that families are the primary agents of change and approaches her work with respect, compassion, and understanding. Tawana is committed to building trust with parents and ensuring the InSight program is a reliable resource for behavioral support and community services. She is passionate about helping families regain confidence in a system focused on reform and positive youth development.
