Amy Scurlock has been with Vista Maria since March 2001. She spent her first 10 years at Vista Maria in Myriam House in various roles, including unit manager. In 2011, she moved to the quality department as the client rights officer, where she worked with all departments on campus conducting investigations, monitoring compliance with licensing and contract audits, and preparing risk management information.
Since 2018, Amy has worked in human resources, employee relations, and training to increase efforts with employee support and engagement. Through her roles in client rights and employee relations, Amy became a strong advocate for staff and clients. In 2017, she received Vista Maria’s Shepherd of the Year award.
Amy holds a master’s degree in management, with a concentration in human resources from Walsh College, a certification in human resource management, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from Gannon University in Pennsylvania. She is a certified trainer in LGBTQ education, Risking Connection, trauma-informed care and strength-based supervision.
